A kitchen table is often a setting for conversation and connection. Those conversations frequently revolve around daily highlights and light-natured topics. While the opportunity for deeper discussions is prime when sharing a meal or a cup of coffee, the conversation rarely steers towards complicated and uncomfortable issues faced by the community. Until now.

The Fond du Lac Area Women’s Fund and Fond du Lac Says No More introduce Project TableTalk.

About the project:

  • We are excited to partner with local businesses and artists to place uniquely created kitchen tables throughout the community.
  • Families, friends, neighbors and even strangers are encouraged to sit at the tables and expand conversation; and then continue those talks at tables at home, in the workplace, and beyond.
  • These kitchen tables (with the information presented with/around them) will educate and empower individuals throughout the Fond du Lac area and beyond to watch for warning signs, support survivors, and showcase the positive, collaborative work underway to prevent violence against women & children in our community.
